Since you are selling food products (perishable goods), your Return and Refund Policy needs to be very specific. For health and safety reasons, food usually cannot be returned once it has left your facility.

RETURN & REFUND POLICY
At Norteña Carne Seca, we want you to enjoy every crunchy, spicy bite! Because our products are perishable food items, we have specific guidelines regarding returns and refunds to ensure the safety of all our customers.
1. No Returns on Food Products
Due to health and safety regulations and the perishable nature of our products (Beef Jerky, Gummies, Nuts, and Sauces), we cannot accept returns. Once a food item has left our facility, it cannot be returned for resale or refund, even if the package is unopened.
2. Damaged or Incorrect Items
We take great care in packing your snacks, but if something goes wrong during transit, we’re here to help!

Damaged Items: If your jerky bag is punctured or your sauce bottle is broken upon arrival, please contact us at nortenacarneseca@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery.

Incorrect Items: If we sent you "Blue Heat Crunch" instead of "Fuego Chili Crunch" (or any other mix-up), let us know immediately!
To process a claim for damaged or incorrect items, you must provide:

3. Refunds & Replacements
If your claim is approved due to damage or an error on our part, we will offer you one of the following:

Please note: Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the entire order was incorrect or damaged.
4. Taste Preference
We understand that everyone has different spice tolerances! However, we cannot offer refunds or replacements based on personal taste preferences (e.g., if you find a flavor too spicy, not spicy enough, or simply don't like the texture). We recommend trying our smaller bags before committing to a larger order or our Gift Box!
5. Melted or Softened Goods (Gummies)
As noted in our Shipping Policy, Norteña Carne Seca is not responsible for gummies or candies that soften or stick together due to high temperatures during transit or if left in a mailbox. These items are still safe to consume, and we cannot offer refunds for heat-related texture changes.
6. Lost or Stolen Packages
If your tracking information shows "Delivered" but you haven't received your package, please check with neighbors or your local post office first. We are not responsible for packages stolen after delivery or lost due to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
7. Cancellations
Because we process orders quickly to ensure freshness, you have 1 hour after placing your order to request a cancellation. Once the order has entered the fulfillment process, it can no longer be canceled or refunded.
